HOLDING DEPOSITS HOLDING DEPOSITS


The purpose of the holding deposit is to verify the applicants‘ serious intent to proceed with a tenancy.
This deposit is equivalent to one weeks rent. Upon commencement of the tenancy, this deposit will be credited towards the first months‘ rental payment.
In the event that an applicant either, a) fails referencing due to misleading information provided in, or omitted from their application, or b) in the event they withdraw their application to rent the property once accepted, and the holding deposit paid, the holding deposit will be retained in full by the landlord to cover any costs incurred. Should the landlord choose to withdraw his approval for an application once the holding deposit is received, the holding deposit will be returned to the applicant in full and any cost incurred by the agent, will be borne by the landlord.
