We‘re pleased to advertise various two-bedroom flats in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. This home benefits from storage heating and double glazing throughout and has one double bedroom and one single, housing a maximum of three people. It also has 2 communal gardens and 3 communal car parks for you to use. Parking is offered on a first come first served basis. Our properties are unfurnished with no carpets, curtains, furniture, or white goods. Offers will be subject to affordability checks and references. The successful applicant will be required to pay a minimum of one weeks rent in advance before you sign up.
Our schemes are for applicants with the age requirement of 50+ only. All household members must meet this age criteria. We may look at your application for this home even if it has more bedrooms than you need. If you apply, we‘ll need you to show us that you can afford to pay the rent for the extra bedroom. If not of pension age or self-funded, bedroom tax may be charged.
The scheme is made up of 118 Units over 5 floors within the building served by 2 lifts and several stairwells. The properties are heated by electric storage heaters, please note there is no gas supply within the property. Electric meters are situated outside each individual property and electricity is the resident‘s responsibility to set up and pay separately to the service charge. Mobility scooters will need to have permission granted before signing up and a risk assessment will need to be undertaken.
There are 2 communal lounges within the scheme, the main lounge houses comfortable seating for socializing and there is a small kitchen area next door to make teas and coffee. This lounge is also used for large events such as birthday parties, Christmas events and special occasions. The smaller lounge is known as The Spitfire Lounge and houses books, games, and a TV.
Within the scheme, situated on the ground floor, there is a communal laundry which is accessed by residents between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Hanley offers great transport links as the bus station is less than a 10-minute walk from the scheme and Stoke train station is only 5 minutes‘ drive by car/taxi. The local park, museum, theatres and cinema can be reached via car/taxi in less than 5 minutes.
