Only enter the lock when three green entry lights are showing.
A waiting pontoon is available outside the lock (removed in winter).
The upper channel is well marked in season, though boaters should watch for unlit moorings out of season.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS The marina is close to Portchester Castle, one of the best preserved Roman Saxon Shore forts, offering sweeping views over the Solent.
