Canterbury‘s most beautiful riverside cottage?
Set right on the Great Stour river in a historic setting this one really is something special.
A truly lovely holiday home just minutes walk from Canterbury West station and all of the cities sights, restaurants, and pubs.
At the end of an historic terrace, using the Roman City Wall as it‘s foundations, Butterfly Cottage was newly built in 1997, extended by us in 2019, and further upgraded in 2023.
Butterfly features a vaulted Living Area on the first floor with real washed oak flooring opening onto a beautiful new Balcony and has a large Bay Window actually over the River.
The two main bedrooms - which both feature French Doors to a Private Riverside Terrace - are located downstairs. The Master has a double bed, whilst the second has a slightly smaller Queen size double bed. Theres also an additional Double Bed squeezed into a vaulted mezzanine above the living area. Reached by a ladder it can be used to sleep an additional (fit and able!) guest or two... but do ‘Mind Your Head!‘ ;-)
The Luxury Bathroom with Bath and shower over is also downstairs, as is an additional second Loo which weve recently installed under the stairs.
As with all of our properties, all bills are included, including unlimited fast broadband.
Private gated parking nearby is available by arrangement!
