The charming, stone built exterior of Wensley combines wonderfully with its modern and cosy interior to deliver an outstanding accommodation offering.
This large and roomy property is ideal for large groups. If you stay here, you can look forward to unwinding in the generous open-plan kitchen, living and dining space provided. The space includes a modern dining table and two large sofas.
Preparing food in the cottage is a joy, as the kitchen features striking contemporary finishing and comes equipped with an abundance of modern appliances and has granite worktops.
The property features three comfortable bedrooms, split between the two floors. The downstairs floor has a twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room and TV; with easy accessibility. Then, on the upper floor, there is a double bedroom with a bathroom; as well as a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and TV. Each bedroom feels homely and comforting in its own way.
Outside the property has a large outdoor space, which features a large patio table and several chairs. From here you can enjoy the best of the seasons - whether thats basking in the warm summer sunshine; or watching the leaves fall in autumn. The space is great for BBQs. Darwin Lake is a private village with 20 acres of grounds you are free to enjoy with woodland and lakeside walks and green areas for outdoor activities and picnics. We have a fire pit quite close to the property and campfire area in the woods.

Nearby there are all the attractions of the Peak District and National Park.

All accommodation is fully furnished and equipped for a comfortable stay. Please note that electricity is not included in the advertised prices and is charged separately based on usage. A refundable security bond may also be required. Weekly clean and/or linen changes are available at an additional cost. Please note that stays are available for a maximum of 28 days or less, or more if with a Corporate entity. Other arrangements may be possible also eg longer stays.
